Dear Superheroine (a.k.a. future surrogate),

Writing this letter feels like the first day of school: we’re nervous but thrilled to meet you. Your decision is an act of generosity and courage we truly admire, and we’re already immensely grateful.

We’re Loïc and Matthieu, an inseparable, passionate duo with a serious sense of humor… and Pancake, our lively corgi, champion of rolling around! During the week, we live in Besançon, where Matthieu thrives in the city, but every weekend we recharge at Loïc’s farm in the Jura mountains, enjoying nature, family meals, and the simple pleasure of being together.

As high school vocational teachers, we work hard daily to encourage our students. Our philosophy? Everyone deserves a helping hand to grow, and if we can provide that with smiles and laughter, we’ve succeeded!

Matthieu is our head baker—nothing makes us happier than the morning smell of fresh bread, symbolizing the warm, laughter-filled home we wish to create. Loïc loves organizing getaways and sharing simple meals, a passion inherited from his family’s Sunday traditions.

For us, becoming parents is more than a project; it’s the desire to share our values, guide a child through their first discoveries, and build a world of kindness and laughter. Since we met (Matthieu’s famous declaration of love at the train station!), building a family has been our purpose.

We envision a simple, authentic relationship with you, where everyone finds their place. We hope our shared story continues, so our child grows up knowing their Canadian roots and the beautiful gesture that brought them into the world.
