Manmeet & Harsh

Canada

Harsh and I met in 2017 on Instagram, initially drawn together by our shared cultural roots, a love for spicy cuisines, and a desire for travel. From a long distance relationship to a newlywed life during the COVID pandemic, we have overcome many obstacles in our lives on our journey to be together. Now, we are eagerly hoping to welcome a lovely angel into our lives who will help us start a family.

Manmeet: I work as a clinical counsellor in private practice. I was born in India but grew up in Canada. I share a strong bond with my family, especially my younger brother. I am an avid reader – getting lost in a good book is one of my favourite pastimes. I also enjoy playing wheelchair basketball and sledge-hockey.

Harsh: I work as a sales consultant. I grew up in India as an only child. I had a very active childhood, playing a variety of sports. My love was badminton, and I played competitively at university level. On any given day, you’ll find me lost in cooking books or bustling away in the kitchen, tweaking recipes to add my own flair.

Manmeet: At two months old, I contracted Polio. For the last 3 years, I have been experiencing medical complications due to my disability. I’m currently on medications that help to maintain my health, but are unsafe for pregnancy. Surrogacy is the only option for us to have a biological child of our own.

We are filled with anticipation at the thought of sharing our firsts with you – from hearing our baby’s first heartbeat, feeling their kicks, discussing our nursery plans, to finally, sharing the experience of becoming first time parents with you. To our future surrogate birth mom, THANK YOU for giving us hope.
