My name is Amélie, I’m 36, I’m a graphic designer in Paris and I dream of becoming a mother…

…a single mother to be exact: as a teenager, I found out that I had no desire, no interest in being in a relationship… my friends were enough for me! But I definitely had a very deep desire to have a family, and share my life with children!

Such a strange exercise to write to you before knowing who you are…

I decided to start a journey to have a child 9 years ago, and I could never have imagined being here today!

After 9 years and two appointments with french Adoption Department, five inseminations, three IVF in Denmark, two others in Spain and the help from a Spanish young woman to have embryos… no way to have a child by myself. So here I am: waiting for you.

Surprised (and a bit stunned), but so excited to start this new amazing step…

I own my two bedrooms apartment, 2 minutes walk away from my brother’s and 2 minutes more from my parents. We’re very close and they’ll be an important part in my child’s life… as my cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Single mother doesn’t mean lonely woman. My life is made of those I love… and who love me.

My life is about laughs with friends, bicycle all over Paris, graphic design (my job and my hobby), concerts, card games with my cousins, jokes to everybody (I hope I am funny but I have to confess that it’s not completely confirmed), bad singer performances (I hope I’m a good singer but I have to confess…), comedy shows, drinks with friends in our family bistro, times to write, times to read… and times to dream.
