Hello from two hopeful, potential parents, Spencer and Franco!

A little about us: We met in the fall of 2016. After dating for 3 years, Spencer proposed to Franco on a cold and wintery hike in the woods. A year later, we married. We are first and foremost equal partners. We value growth, curiosity, sustainability and community.

We are privileged to be homeowners. In our home, we frequently host family and friend dinner parties, movie nights and game nights. We both work at a local university. Franco’s role focuses on community building and supporting students, and Spencer is a Counsellor (Registered Social Worker) providing mental health counselling and therapy.

We are surrounded by so much love and are both very close with our families. We are also blessed to have a strong chosen family that we regularly spend time with throughout the year, and every summer we camp at various provincial parks together.

We want to raise a person who knows their worth. We want to care for them, protect them, be silly with them and just love them for who they are. We’ll play to our strengths as parents. Spencer will help them to be mindful and present and understand and express their emotions. Franco will help them to be organized, accomplish tasks, and build things.
