One of the most commonly asked questions is about the financial aspect of the journey. Sometimes the money conversation can feel a little uncomfortable, but it's an important conversation to have. .
The Canadian law states that as a surrogate you can not be paid to help in this way, however you will be reimbursed for all expenses that occur during your surrogacy journey.

You'll be reimbursed for some of your living costs to include: transportation, childcare, food, wellness, lost wages, clothing & communication.

Most first time surrogates will be reimbursed at least $26,000 in various expenses. We're with you each step of the way, and will make sure that you're protected financially as the steps unfold.
Simply put, while you cannot be paid to be a surrogate here in Canada, you are financially secure to make the decision to help. Promise!
The ANU account manager, and 4x surrogate Jen says, "I am a surrogate because I love helping people, but the reimbursements I received during my surrogacy ensured that I would be able to take care of myself during the pregnancy.

I was able to manage my budget differently and it gave me much more financial flexibility during and after my surrogacy."

This is the I AM; podcast hosted by Maria Szott and Jara Hallett. This is the show where we embrace meaningful conversations with incredible individuals making waves in the world through surrogacy & egg donation in Canada.
